Foreign ICT Companies' Procurement in Taiwan Reached US$91.7 Billion in 2013
November 28, 2013

Foreign ICT companies have spent US$91.7 billion on procurement in Taiwan so far in 2013, roughly at the same level as in 2012, according to the Economic Daily News quoting MIC's study on November 28. The flat growth is mainly attributed to the fast-changing ICT industry where demand for traditional desktop PCs and notebook PCs has been challenged by the emerging smart handheld devices, said MIC. Top five spenders by purchase value in 2013 are HP, Dell, Qualcomm, Lenovo, and Broadcom, which collectively make up over 50% of the overall procurement at US$45.5 billion.
